Volunteering with Children
Before you:
· Volunteer in a classroom
· Coach a team or help on a regular basis
· Lead a Cub Scout den or Boy or Girl Scout Troop
· Help in the cafeteria, library
· Chaperone an overnight field trip such as Camp Kern
· Interact with St. Dominic parish children in any way on a regular basis
You must attend a Child Protection Workshop AND go through the BCII* fingerprinting and background check through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati BEFORE any interaction takes place. If you have lived outside of the state of Ohio during the last five years you must also have an FBI *check.
BCII Background Check (Fingerprinting)
(Please tell them at the site that you are volunteering for St. Dominic. If you also volunteer at another school, i.e., Seton, Elder, Mercy, etc. please list ALL the schools so we will get a report. Please take your Drivers’ License with you for scanning. Call first to make sure the system is up and running. The State shuts it down for maintenance.
