A Short History

St. Dominic School began in September 1934. The first Teachers: Sr. Mary Emma (superior,) Sr. Matthew Marie and Sr. Rose Gertrude (all Sisters of Charity) enrolled 93 students  for the 1934 -1935 school year. In January 1939 School Alumni Association was first formed.
Over time the school and the number of graduates grew considerably. By January 1958 there were 800 children in the school. In the 1990s a second Alumni Association held a Mass, breakfast and reception with tours of the school for alumni. The Alumni Association has been reborn.
