The Giving Tree Ministry
A BIG Thank You to all who gave to the 2009 Giving Tree Project! As you can see from the pictures, the response was overwhelming! Deliveries were made to many grateful organizations!
St. Dominic Parish receives the names of families and their members who could benefit from gifts at Christmas. During Advent the Giving Trees have tags with the names, sizes and a "wish list" for each person. On the thrid Sunday in Advent teams of volunteers load all the wrapped and tagged gifts donated by parishioners onto trucks for delivery to St.Leo and St. Pius Parishes.
Volunteers are needed to set up the trees and place tags on them, replenish the tags after each Mass until they are all taken and help coordinate and deliver packages.
